Privacy Policy

Effective date: 26 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Spellfolk, package identifier com.fivitech.spellfolk ("Spellfolk", "the app", "we", "us" or "our"), operated by Fivitech, handles information. Spellfolk is a word game with no sign-in — you play as an anonymous device account.

Anonymous account

Spellfolk does not ask for your name, email or phone number and has no sign-in screen. On first launch the app creates an anonymous account tied to your device, used to save your progress and sync it to our backend. We collect and store, linked to that anonymous account:

We do not use any third-party analytics SDK — gameplay analytics go to our own backend only. We use this information to sync your save across reinstalls, run the leaderboard and daily word, tune the game's economy and content, and diagnose crashes.

Advertising

The free version shows ads between levels and on menu screens — never over the puzzle board. Ads are served by Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) and the ad networks it works with, such as Unity Ads. They may process device or advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interactions and diagnostics to deliver, cap, secure and measure ads. See Unity's privacy policy.

On iOS, the app asks for App Tracking Transparency permission before ads start. If you allow it, ads may be personalised; if you decline, you still get ads, just not personalised ones. You can change this any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. If your device's region is in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we tell our ad partners you have not consented, and you only get non-personalised ads.

Purchases

Spellfolk offers consumable coin packs, a starter bundle, and the Spellfolk VIP subscription through Apple's App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat helps verify purchases and maintain the vip entitlement. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app-user identifier, store/product/transaction information, entitlement status, purchase history and diagnostics. It does not receive your payment-card details; the applicable app store processes payment. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Purposes and sharing

We use this information to provide gameplay, save sync, the leaderboard, daily word, ads and purchase entitlements, and to diagnose problems. We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with Unity/ironSource and its advertising partners, RevenueCat, Sentry, Apple or Google Play for the purposes described above, with authorities where legally required, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention and control

Your save data and anonymous account remain on our servers while you continue to use the app. You can:

Because accounts are anonymous, we may need an identifier such as your anonymous account id (visible in Settings) or a purchase transaction reference to locate a record.

Children

Spellfolk is rated for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information beyond what is described here. We do not offer messaging, chat or any way for players to contact each other directly.

International processing and security

Unity/ironSource and its ad partners, RevenueCat, Sentry and the app stores may process information in countries other than your own, using the transfer safeguards described in their own policies. We use encrypted network connections (HTTPS/TLS) and standard cloud-provider security practices. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect product, SDK, legal or operational changes. We will publish the revised policy with a new effective date.
